Day 3 – We’re not in Kansas anymore

Today we got up earlier so we could arrive at our destination before dark. Yesterday we didn’t get in til almost midnight.
Today has been pretty uneventful except when the golfball sized rock hit the window and make a giant bullseye right in front of me. I wonder if our uhaul contract covers that? We declined the additional insurance.
Another few miles and we just passed a big house on fire. It’s far away and we saw the big grey smoke plume before we saw the house, looks like on of the corn farmers places. Gee there’s alot of corn fields here!
As we got into Kansas city we got a good taste of the US highway/interchange system. Thank God for the GPS on my iPhone! We navigated through the many exits straight to our hotel.
Hello Maureen and Brad! I was thinking about texting you to see how things were going, but this blog thing is great! You don’t have any dates on your blog postings. Anyways, i am so excited about this journey and I am looking forward to seeing it through your eyes!
